Monday 1 February
Frost Returns!
Freezing well again this morning, and Kempton and Ludlow gone by the wayside again! Only sand rats in the Midlands on offer. A really good morning on Saturday. Bobby Gee and Jardin De Vienne just did a steady canter and looked in fine form, both have come out of their races really well. Bobby Gee will head to Uttoxeter on Feb 20th, and JDV will run in a chase at Leicester on Feb 17th. He has schooled very very well over the bigger obstacles, and could well be a bit like Mattaking who struggled over timber, but was a revelation when switched to chasing. Willow Wren worked well with her half sister Genny Wren, who although green looks to have a bit of ability. Willow is entered at Wincanton this week. After watching work it was a quick change and off to Goldington Road to see Bedford Blues beat the Cornish Pirates. Thanks to Paul for getting us in, it was a long afternoon, resulting in a long and moderately painful Sunday!!
