JASON MAGUIRE SYNDICATE
Having worked with Grand National winning jockey, Jason Maguire for a number of years - we have decided it was about time that we launched a syndicate together.
We headed over to the industry leading Tattersalls Ireland, Derby Sale in June, with a plan in place to purchase a son of the mighty Blue Bresil.
Blue Bresil is a wonderful stallion - the sire of non other than superstar Constitution Hill, he has also sired no less than 7 other Grade 1 winners, and his best stock are yet to run! He moved across the Irish Sea in 2020, and speaking to the man that stood him at stud over there, the mares that visited him in 2023, the year that this horse was conceived were the best bunch of mares he ever covered!
This horse was one that we looked at early - yet despite seeing hundreds of horses he was always the one that we went back to! A very atheltic individual - he has a fantastic walk, and a very good trot - he is really light on his feet!
PEDIGREE
As mentioned he is by the great Blue Bresil, out of a winning Mahler mare, who has bred 2 Irish Point to Point winners form just 3 runners. She was a half sister to 4 winners, who were all rated over 125. It is a family stacked with stamina, and we see this horse as a staying chaser of the future.
Those 2 Irish Point to Point winners she has bred both won their races in 2026 and both were sold earlier this year. Her 5yr old sold for £125,000 in February and heads to Harry Fry - her 4yr old was then sold for £240,000 at the Punchestown Sale in April and heads to Ben Pauling.
Having achieved those figures at the sales, it would be reasonable to expect them to run to a pretty decent level, and both have gone to good yards that will get the very best out of them - this horse could look very cheap by Chtristmas!
JASON MAGUIRE.
One of the very best jockeys of his generation, he rode Ballabriggs to victory in the 2011 Grand National and Grade 1's on Overturn and Peddlars Cross among others. He rode 5 Cheltenham Festival winners before injury curtailed his career in 2016. Since then, with the help of wife, Lauren he has built up his breaking, pre training and rehabilitation yard near Gloucester into one of the finest in the country. A superb jockey and even better horseman - you are in very good hands!! .
Jason is very much looking forward to working together with Nick on this vernture. 'We both really liked this horse and kept going back to him at the sales. Since he has arrived home with me, he has not put a foot wrong. He was well prepped for the sale, and was a breeze to back and ride away. He has cantered upsides and schooled well, and he gives me a nice feel to sit on. he will have break for the rest of the summer, and as he is not a big heavy type of horse, he is an individual that can go into training this autumn and should not be too long in coming to hand'
THE SYNDICATE
This horse will run in one of our in house syndicates - The Chicheley Partnership, and will sport our red, black and white colours on the track.
Jason will have a big input into his preparation, and will be involved in all the important decisions going forward. He will pre train this gelding after a short summers break, and will be available on stable visits to his Ivy Lodge Farm and when the horse heads into training. The plan would be for him to ride him in his work as well, which will give syndicate members the very best of feed back prior to this horse running.

COSTS
Ten 10% shares in total, each priced at £3,800 which includes all costs until he returns to pre training after a short break.
All inclusive monthly costs thereafter are set at £350/month.
Trainer is currently to be confirmed, Jason likes to get all of our horses to a stage when he can assess what sort of training regime will suit them best, and until he gets him to that stage we will keep an open mind.
