Friday 13 January

Montegonian is declared to run at Kempton park tomorrow (12.30). There are 11 declarations, and with 3 previous winners and 2 smart ones off the flat it looks quite hot, but hopefully he will learn plenty more about the hurdling job, and with a bit of luck scrape into the first 4. He seems to have come on a bundle at home - so we should have a nice day out. I have just been contacted by Thomas Kerr of the Racing Post who has asked if he could join us for the day and get to meet Monteys owners and write a piece about the thrills of ownership and a day at the races, which will appear in Sundays paper, so that is very exciting, and it gives everyone the feeling that we are starting to get noticed a bit! So best bib and tucker tomorrow - you never know there may just be a photographer on hand as well! Lets hope Montey runs well and does us proud! I've also just received a tweet from Mark Bradburne who had his final ride before retiring on Montey last month - he tweets 'good luck tomorrow he is going to be a real fun horse'.Thanks Mark! And in return we wish you all the best in your new career! There are still shares available, but after a piece in The Post on Sunday they may go quickly, so give me a call/email/tweet/facebook if you would like to book your place in him now!
