Yesterday I promised news on the yards only current Grade 1 winner Ogee. Ogee has not been seen in public since the end of August last year when he made the long trip to Ffos Las, where he was pulled up. It was a very disappointing end to a very long trip, but Jimmy felt that all was not well with him and did the right thing in pulling him up. After Ffos Las Ogee was given a thorough MOT by the vets and as a result he was forced onto the sidelines. There was infact no singular issue or injury that led to him running way below his best - more a case of a hard life in training catching up with him. He needed a break, and some minor treatments to cure him of his ailments which seems to have done the trick and he will be back on track in the next couple of weeks - possibly at Fakenham on 17th. All good news and we hope he comes back to his best - he has certainly been working with plenty of enthusiasm over the past few weeks - so we look forward to seeing him back on track soon! Frozen ground has scuppered Wincanton today - and also put pay to Omaruru and Ogee going to Towcester tomorrow, Sam was up yesterday and reported Omaruru to be in cracking form. He should be ready to go in about a month and Saturday 3rd March looks a likely starting point (fingers crossed)
