Tuesday 14 February

It's Valentines Day - and things are hotting up at Fences Farm! Well the weather is anyway, not sure about the romance side of things! After the recent (very) cold snap, it is welcome relief for everyone to be able to get on with life normally! The frost still managed to bite us in the bum one last time with the abandonment of Folkestone today. There were plenty of horses entered in San Telms race in Fakenham, that were declared to run down there, so with it off they could well head to Norfolk making it a more competitive heat.Let's hope we get a good run of weather up to the Festival now!The photos were taken on Saturday morning when temperatures dropped to -14! Pretty to look at but bloody awful to be out in! Racing UK last night played out recordings of the races at last years Aintree Grand National meeting, and it was interesting to see the replay of the National itself. I had not realised how well Killyglen was going when he fell 5 out, he would surely have featured in the finish and off 10.4 in this years renewal he must represent a good bit of value at 33/1. You heard it here first!
