Tuesday 21 February

Grassfinch - or The Tigress as she was labelled in the Racing Post on Saturday has been raised 3lbs for her brave win on Friday. This takes her to a rating of 110, and is probably 1lb lower than where I thought she would be. Ogee and San Telm remain unchanged. Ogee ran right up to his mark, and will come on a fraction for the run, and I think the handicapper has taken the same view of ST's run that we did, which was that it was too bad to be true and not his running - we have just put a line through it! Smart Exit seems in great order and will have a couple of entries on Feb 29th at Folkestone (favoured) and Southwell (2nd preference) they are both handicaps as we will struggle to get in another novice now that we have a mark. Sam rode him last week and feels he is up to handicap company so we will put him in and have a look. Omaruru did his first piece of faster work on Saturday and did it well. He went with Justazippy and had to work hard but will come on a bundle for it.He is booked in at Towcester next Monday for his racecourse gallop.Kikos has stepped up to 2 canters this week and is loving life - he's in great form. Please get in touch if you would like a share in the new horse - this superbly bred 4 yr old by Kayf Tara out of a half sister to Grey Shot will be coming to Fences Farm in the next few weeks - and from what we have seen we really like her. She will be aimed at bumpers through the summer before progressing over hurdles - and remember you only pay when she is working for you - I can't be fairer than that! 07909 518902
