'Sicknote' or as he is usually known in the racecard - Omaruru has just started to get serious in his work. On Saturday, under the watchful gaze of a handful of his owners he did his first quicker bit with Justazippy and although doing it well he was nudged along to keep tabs on her, and it was a good piece of work considering it was his first quick bit after all his problems. Today he worked with Zippy again and things were a little different - Stuart was on the phone straight after suggesting we may like to look at a race over a stiff 2 miles as he had just 'blown Zippy away'! Zippy has never been out of the first 2 over hurdles and won well on her handicap debut last time and is now rated 115, and has plenty of speed - so Omar looks to be going the right way!We are still looking at going to Towcester with him on Monday morning for a racecourse gallop, after which we will start to look at some entries. Silver Wren was declared for a Mares Novice at Huntingdon tomorrow, but with a ballot of 3 she was always going to struggle and unsurprisingly missed the cut.
