We were all slightly disappointed with San Telms run in Fakenham last Friday, as he was the only one of the three that did not run to form. Having watched the race a few times we were not really happy with the way he jumped during the race, so when Brett The Vet was in earlier in the week, Stuart had him give him the once over. Ed was not 100% happy with his back and suggested he xrayed his spine to see if he had a couple of processes that were a bit close and causing him discomfort (this would explain the poor jumping). So yesterday afternoon he was trundled off to the surgery and had xrays done on his back. These proved that he did in fact have 2 structures that were close together and the area was duly injected to ease the discomfort. Colebrooke had a very similar proceedure done after his first run which made him much more free in his back and it should have the same effect with San Telm. It will not hold him up, and he will be ridden again tomorrow. The uptake of the shares in the Kayf Tara filly is going well - to register an interest or book your place in her, give me a call on 07909 518902, or email info@nickbrownracing.co.uk
