Friday 9 March
The plan to run Smart Exit on Sunday in Warwick has been thwarted by the drying weather. With the ground going predominately Good 2 days before the meeting, and dry, bright drying conditions set to prevail it looks as though it will dry up too much for our man to take his chance. He is a smashing long term prospect, and we will look after him. Some good news - we may get the preffered jockey for Colebrooke on Wednesday at The Festival. Set to carry 11.4, Colebrooke could do with a bit of help from a very good claimer, and with Brendan Powell Jnr having won so well on him at Sandown we have been trying to secure his services for a week or two. A message last night suggests that we just may have him, so fingers crossed that it goes our way as these things have a habit of changing. We will keep a close eye on the ground at Towcester for Omaruru as well, as we would not want to be running on quicker ground with him either. San Telm will work tomorrow, after which we will make a decision as to his next appearance.
