After weeks of 'will we - won't we' it was confirmed yesterday that Brendan Powell Jnr will ride Colebrooke at The Festival on Wednesday.With Colebrooke looking set to carry well over 11 stone in the Fred Winter we felt it was vital that, if possible we get the best young claimer in the country - with the added bonus that Brendan had given Colebrooke such a fabulous ride at Sandown when the pair were victorious in January. This is a real boost - and as tha TV ad says -'every little helps'! Remarkably with all the drying weather about Plumpton (tomorrow) remains Good To Soft, Soft in places, so Smart Exit, who has missed out at Warwick today due to the drying ground, will be declared. SE is a lovely long term prospect, and although the track isn't ideal we will take our chance as there is no rain in the long term forecast.
