Friday 6 April

Twice placed bumper performer Aeschylus has been declared for Towcester on Sunday. He will be ridden for the first time by Sam, who has taken over the steering from Jimmy McCarthy. There are 12 declared, and this is probably the best race he has contested to date, but he continues to improve, and is a lovely horse to look forward to. He will come into his own when he encounters a trip over obstacles. Norse Wren has not been declared this weekend, and will now have a few jumping lessons and head for his holidays. Like a great many young horses, he has just started to show signs of losing his form, and will not be asked to race this spring. Again NW is a cracking horse from Mrs Robesons favourite 'Jumping' family, and I am sure he will repay everyones patience in him! Kikos is still on course for Chepstow on Monday. The new greyhound venture is up and running - the dog has arrived at his trainers kennels, and won't be long before he gets going. He is called Apollo, and has won 1 race from 4 outings in Ireland, seemingly over a distance that stretched his stamina, so he should be well suited by a track like Henlow.Would all those that said they would like a share in him get in touch and I will give you the details.
