Friday 13 April

Having had a good look at next weeks weather forecast, it looks as though we may well get a fair drop of rain on Monday night. This is typical of our luck at the moment - we have been in the driest spell of weather for centuries and just as we want to run Kikos who loves quick ground it starts to rain!! Kempton is the right race for him, and is the first choice, but becuase of the risk of a repeat of the weekend in Chepstow (we declared on Good To Firm and by 11.00am on racdeay it was soft and he was a non runner) we have entered him in Cheltenham on Thursday. It is a hotter race than Kempton but there are not many entries and it gives us an option if Kempton on Tuesday goes soft!Ogee is entered there on the same day. He will resume over hurdles, and may well have a bit of aid with some headgear. Stuart has just phoned to say how well the Kayf Tara filly went today - she is progressing very very well, and things are coming together very well. She has been asked some big questions in her brief time in 'senior school', by being asked to canter upsides and in the string from a very early stage, and so far she has passed all her tests with flying colours!! We all still really like her!!
