Thursday 19 April

Ogee will not take his place in Cheltenham this afternoon after 10mm of overnight rain has turned the ground soft. He is a genuine top of the ground performer, and would not be suited by the ground today, so he stays at home. There will be other days for him! We will see what the handicapper does to Kikos next Tuesday, ideally he would not change his mark, and we can go to Uttoxeter with him in a 0-115 chase on the evening of May 19th, if he puts him up we will either have to go into a very rich race in Aintree the night before, or trudge down to Newton Abbot a couple of days later - neither option is desirable! There are now only 2 shares left the the very promising 4 yr old filly by Kayf Tara (see photos). She is going very very well, and everyone is thrilled with her progress, if things keep going on as they are, she should be ready to make her racecourse debut in 7-8 weeks. Give me a call on 07909 518902 or email me at info@nickbrownracing.co.uk to arrange to come and see her and get involved in what could be a very exciting young racehorse! Omaruru will go down to Chez Kehoe next week and have his treatment there.
