Monday 14 May
Another good weekend slips by! At least it didn't rain, and it was nice to go to the top of the hill in the sunshine on Saturday morning, although we did have to walk up as it was still far too wet to drive! It gave owners an insight into what their horses have to do! Tara Dancer just did one canter with The Fonz first lot as she has been having a little cough over the past few days. She is on a course of antibiotics and will be cleared up in a day or two but in the meantime she will not be asked to do anything to stressful. Second lot we saw Ogee work with E Major with Kikos tucked in behind. All three went very well. Ogee and E Major both missed races this weekend due to the ground, but will continue to have entries through the summer. Kikos was entered in a chase in Aintree on Friday night, but is 10lbs out of the handicap and is very unlikely to be running. We will be patient, but we may see him over hurdles next. After watching work we had a meeting with 2 existing partnership members who have decided to go into joint ownership together, and we should have some very exciting news within the next few days.Aiden Murphy has found us a very exciting prospect, and Brett The Vet will be hot footing it to Ireland in ht enext couple of days to give it the once over! More news after that! I have also spied a lovely horse to run for a small syndicate over the summer, and I will be looking into him over the next few days as well. This is a cracking time of year, as we all get excited about the horses for next season, and with some very decent horses from last season, and a great clutch of newcomers coming through, the dreams can begin!!
