This goes down as one of those days! First news this morning was that the target purchase from Ireland had not made the cut! Disappointing, but best we know now rather than 6 months down the line! Kikos will not be going to Aintree,not actually a shock, but with only 4 entered at 9.30 I did just phone Evan Williams to make sure that his horse at the top of the weights was running! It is - so that makes us 10lbs 'wrong'. Towcester next Friday night for a novice hurdle is plan B. Brett The Vet was in this morning to scope Tara Dancer. She has been having a cough for over a week despite being on antibiotics, so we had a look today and she is still mucky, so stronger drugs are needed. These should clear her up within 7 days and she can crack on. A spell on the easy at this stage of her training would have caused her no harm, and we look forward to a hassle free run through to her debut.
