Saturday 19 March
Kikos worked first lot this morning and worked very well. Stuart has had him working in a tongue tie just recently, as depsite have had a wind op, Sam still says he isn't 100% clean in his wind during his races. Kikos does like to do most things with his tongue out and it was not certain that he would take to having it tied down, but all has gone well, and wether or not it is making a difference - he certainly worked very impressively this morning. He worked upside The Fonz - both in behind Ogee and left TF to join Ogee by the end of his work.He has an entry in Towcester next Friday evening in a National Hunt Novices Hurdle. A slight departure from his chasing career, but we may just drop on a weak race and take advantage of his novice status over hurdles. Second lot we welcomed a few owners over, and they saw Tara Dancer do 2 canters past them. She continues to improve and everyone is very much looking forward to stepping up her work when she is over the recent bout of coughing. She moves so well, and has such a good way of going we just have to keep our fingers crossed that she has a gearbox to go with her engine! She does what she does in great style and with effortless ease. Exciting! E Major seems fine after his long (and wasted) trip to Aintree last night. Never travelling he was pulled up, and it is best to put a line through his run.
