Fingers crossed that the weather takes a turn for the better by Friday 22nd June as I have booked the hog roast for the cricket match. We would really like a big turnout for the game - it is a fantastic night out, with some very good cricket (although possibly more from Eversholt than us) and a lot of laughs. Hopefully we will have a few jockeys there on the evening, and it would be great to see as many of our owners and members as possible as the whole evening will be run in aid of The Injured Jockeys Fund. The bar will be open and it is a very picturesque place to spend a summers evening! There are still one or two places to fill in the Nick Brown Racing XI - so if you fancy turning your arm over or wielding the willow then give me a call. The going looked pretty testing in Uttoxeter last night, so it was a good thing that The Fonz stayed at home in the warm and dry. The ground is currently Good at Southwell for their meeting on Tuesday evening, which will suit all of the intended runners there. Hopefully it will remain that way!
