Tuesday 24 July
Everyone at Fences Farm will be glad to have another runner - it seems like an age since one went to the races!!The recent wet spell has meant that the horses that prefer quick ground and are in for the summer for that reason have been confined to barracks, but The Fonz takes his chance in the 2m 4f Novice Hurdle in Worcester tomorrow. It looks a decent heat with 4 previous winners going head to head - and judged on ratings there would not be too much between them, but they do expect him to run a nice race. Also back on track today are Michael and Fiona with their winning Point To Pointer Salt And Vinegar in Southwell. This is his first venture under rules, and we wish them luck. Also at Southwell, we would like to wish Andy Shaw a very happy 40th Birthday. Andy has been a member of Nick Brown Racing for a couple of years (Omaruru) and has decided to celebrate his big day by sponsoring a race at his local track on Friday!! Many happy returns Andy, and good luck judging the 'Best Turned Out'!The ground continues to dry out at Uttoxeter, so everything looks spot on for Kikos on Thursday.
