Friday 27 July

That was a bit more like it from Kikos yesterday. Travelling and jumping with his usual verve he ran a great race to be third. Probably trying to put it up to the winner turning in cost him second, but we had to try!! Looking at him yesterday he just seemed to be flat out all the way, and in an effort to help him travel at a more comfortable speed in his races we will look to step him back up in trip for his next run. He has form over 2 1/2 miles so it is not a trip into the unknown - and finally at 10 he has learnt to settle in behind which will give him more chance of staying. He is also a winner over 2 miles around Towcester where stamina is a necessity, so hopefully the plan will work. It looks like Hereford at the end of August is the next suitable race for him.He seems fine this morning, and will have a couple of days off with The Fonz in the field. Ogee and E Major have entries in Worcester next week - another trip to that 'lovely track' for Stuart- and to make matters worse they are in the last race of an evening card!! Enjoy!!
