After being unable to obtain the services of Geoff Lane for a couple of weeks, he finally arrives at Barratstown Equine Hospital today to carry out a few breathing ops. Geoff is Europes (and possibly the worlds) leading authority on breathing problems in performance horses - so to have his services will have been worth the wait. He will carry out proceedures on Smart Exit, Tannerman, Justazippy among others, so he will have a busy day. All the horses had a bath yesterday, and were delivered to the practice at 4pm. Please keep logging on to this News page all day as I will post updates on their progress as the hours pass. It is always a nrevous time when a big aninal like a horse goes under a general anaesthetic! The Olympics has started with a bang and there is a real feel good factor about the games. Good luck to all the athletes competeing. It is the second phase of the eventing today, and they will be flying around Greenwhich Park in the cross country. These are brave horses and riders as those obstacles are huge - so good luck to them all especially! Ogee and E Major have been declared to run in Worcester tomorrow evening. Again, a shame that they have to take each other on, but that is the way of things over the summer. Jimmy rides Ogee as usual, and Jamie Moore gets his first spin on EM as Tom O'Brien who rode him the last day is going to Perth.
