Our terrestrial Racing TV coverage will be all change from the new year. No more BBC, and Channel 4 yesterday announced that long term production team, Highflyer, will be replaced by IMG Media. Shame that some good people at Highflyer who have done a great job at bringing racing to our screens for 20 years will no longer be involved, but on the flip side it does mean that the brilliant Claire Balding will not be lost to the sport! A real shame that John Francome will not be part of the new team as his knowledge and down to earth humour was always welcome. Those horses ready to canter have started, and the time will now fly by, and they will soon be on the track again and Smart Exit and Tannerman will be back to Fences Farm shortly. Still a chance to get involved in the racing club for £20/week all inc. If you fancy going racing this season as an owner! Also still a chance to own a share in our 3 times winning greyhound Apollo, who will be contesting a £1000 race at Henlow this weekend!!
