With the leaves on the trees taking on a more autumnal hue - it signals that the first runners of the winter season will soon be on the go. Saturday saw some really good pieces of work that really whet the appetite for the months to come. First lot San Telm worked with Justazippy with Kikos tucked in behind. ST is in great from, and the quality of his work earnt him a couple of entries in Market Rasen on Saturday. he is in a 2m 1f Listed hurdle, and a 0-120 2m 3f handicap. We will decide which one he takes on when we see the opposition. Justazippy also went well and will make her seasonal debut ealry next month before getting a crack at Listed company herself in Wetherby next time up. Kikos will hopefully head to Bangor early next month. Colebrooke is in good form as well, and a trip to Chepstow beckons for him in mid October. Smart Exit did 2 good canters second lot, and is certainly bigger and stronger than last year. He looks in good form and is a lot to look forward to over a trip when the mud is flying through the winter! We will discuss whether he stays over hurdles or has a crack at chasing, as Sam is certain thats where his future lies! Tannerman strode on for the first time since his arrival and wind op and went nicely. Thankfully no sign of respiratory noise, so if the op has worked (looks that way at the moment) he should surely be well handicapped both over fences and hurdles, and again we will decide which route to take over the coming weeks. Thankfully some rain has arrived and they will all be schooled today, which will help with some decision making! Benefit Cut went up with Ogee and Genny Wren. BC went very nicely and looks to have a nice future judged on his work with Ogee. Og is a Grade 1 winner and seems to be in the form of his life, so makes a good workmate for BC and he is showing up well! His debut for us is only a couple of weeks away now, and we will look at the programme book to find a nice race for him!
