Unbelievable!! What are the chances of most of Yorkishire being under water after record breaking September storms - but Market Rasen a mere handful of miles away in North Lincs missing most of it and still having Good to Firm in the going description! Long odds I fancy but that is the scenario which looks like forcing San Telm to miss the trip up north on Saturday. A real shame as he is in great form, and with a bit of cut in the ground I was keen to let him take his chance in the Listed Hurdle, with young Brendan Powell on board whos' claim would have offset him being 'wrong' in the weights! Never mind - a long season ahead, and we will look again - starting with entries in Bangor and Fontwell next Thursday and Friday. Kikos will have an entry in Bangor as well. Sam was up yesterday and schooled everything. He said that Tannerman was a lot better than when he schooled him in the spring, he even got to sit on new boy Benefit Cut and was very impressed! Alice schooled Colebrooke who was pretty sharp and looks set to go to Chepstow in a couple of weeks. Smart Exit also had a pop and was very good as always. All of the string seem in great form and the team at Fences Farm are really pleased with where they are at - exciting times - all dreams intact!!
