Two non runners over the weekened - San Telm not declared in either race in Market Rasen due to quick ground. After talking to acting Clerk Of The Course Robert Bellamy, who said that even the Good bits were on the quick side we decided to miss both engagements. Second non runner was me - who missed a Saturday morning at Fences for the first time in ages!! Work got in the way!! Stuart reports that everything went well, and he is thrilled with all of them! A few entries this week. Kikos, Justazippy and San Telm are in at Bangor on Thursday. San Telm is in at Fontwell on Friday, and The Fonz and E Major will have entries over next weekend as well. San Telms form looks rock solid - we were keen to run in the Listed Hurdle on Saturday if the ground had been suitable, and through a line with Kayaan who was beaten 1 1/2 lengths into third, ST would have gone close. ST gave Kayaan 5lbs when just behind him on his last run in Fakenham last season, and would have met him on 12lb better terms on Saturday, suggesting he should have won! This being the case I feel we should try and maximise the return with him and try for the bigger pot at Fontwell, despite it being 2m 2 1/2 furlongs. Smart Exit and Tannerman are both coming on very well and will be striding on soon. There is still a share for sale in Smart Exit who should be well handicapped after his wind op!
