Thursday 18 October

We've had better weeks racing, and hopefully we are getting all the bad luck out of the way in one hit. On Tuesday Tannerman got a bit revved up at the start - charged to the first, met it wrong, failed to lift a leg and fell. Luckily both he and Sam were fine after the event, and in fact they jumped four fences together yesterday morning to make sure all was OK with Tannermans confidence, and all went well. Tannerman is going to the vets today for them to have a look at his back, as we feel he may just be feeling something in that region. Yesterday we made the long treck to Wetherby for Colebrooke in a 2m 6f Hurdle. We felt he had a great chance, but unfortunately circumstances conspired against us and for one reason or another Colebrooke was not seen at his best. His followers should just put a line through the run, and he will go again in 3-4 weeks. The reasons for his poor show were out of our control, and he will bounce back!! Ogee will be declared to run in Cheltenham tomorrow, and it is still the plan to go to Kempton with Kikos on Sunday.
