The latest Wren made his debut in Worcester yesterday, and ran a respectable race to finish sixth. He behaved very well, and certainly did not disgrace himself, and will have a future over obstacles and a distance of ground. Norse Wren is the latest son of Wren Warbler to get to the track, and hopefully he will do well, just as his siblings have done. Today, we will enter San Telm in a 2m 4f handicap hurdle in Haydock on 31st. Despite all the rain that we keep getting, and the north west being one of the wettest places in the country, the ground up there is given as good, and as we have discovered ST is probably at his best with plenty of cut in the ground so we will have to look at options over the next few days as well. We would dearly like to go as soon as we can, so that we leave open the option of taking in a nice meeting in the middle of next month, if he earns the right to do so. Smart Exit worked very well on Tuesday and is ready to run. He will have entries in Wetherby (2nd) and Huntingdon (4th).He also schooled over fences yesterday, and whatever he does over hurdles is a bonus as he is a real chaser in the making. Despite this we will start his season off over hurdles before making the switch. There is still a 1/8th share left in him if anyone is interested - instant fun! Tannerman is going nicely after his back has been done, and he will be going back to Huntingdon in the middle of November.We would like to welcome John and Diane McPherson to Nick Brown Racing. We wish them luck with their own 'pony'.
