The Fonz was just foiled yesterday in his attempt to get his hurdling career back on track. Sporting cheekpieces for the first time, and also getting conditions in his favour for the first time in a long time a decent run was expected. Given a peach of a ride from the uber talented Brendan Powell TF was just collared on the run in and went down by just 3/4 length. It was a very good run - galling to be second, but nice to see that he still has it in him when conditions are in his favour! He will win again shortly. Tannerman will be ridden by Thomas Garner on Tuesday, as his race is restricted to young jockeys who are yet to ride 20 winners. This is a really good booking Thomas is a very good young jockey and should get a really good spin off of Ted who looked in fantastic form in his work yesterday. With the ground drying out, Amistress looks like making her hurdling debut on Tuesday evening as well, she loves her new job!! Ogee has an entry in Chepstow on Friday evening, but it looks a very hot race and he may wait a week.
