Yesterday was the first day of the 'new season' - and today Benefit Cut was entered for Market Rasen next Saturday. It was quiet on the owner front on Saturday - and with the gallop completed at the top, but needing a surface from the top of the hill down the string was restricted to only half the gallop. This meant that they came past 3 times in canter, and breezed the final one. First lot saw Colebrooke, San Telm and Benefit Cut out - and all three looked in fabulous form.. After breakfast they did much the same - although Guest Of Honour and Omaruru did an extra canter. GOH (near side) breezed very well alongside Coffers (unraced) who is coming on very nicely. Omaruru (below far side) Breezed alongside Smart Exit - and they both went very well. The new surface seems to be bedding in very well, and all of the horses seem to enjoy it and move really well on it. Hopefully by this time next week it should be completed!
