Friday 12 September

After the poor runs from the 2 on Sunday, Brett The Vet was in yesterday to cast his eye over them and a few more. Ereyna will now have a little break, and Mr Maynard will have some treatment for some aches and pains. While he was there he also had a look at a few of the others, including San Telm, who, although in great form, will have some treatment on his back next week. This has always been the plan, and it will not hold him up at all. Also making a trip to the vets next week will be Dawn Commander, who after having his hocks attended to a few weeks ago, will now have his sacroiliac joint sorted out, to keep him moving freely. He too will not be hindered by the treatment, and will only miss one day of work. Ed also tratted up Benefit Cut, with whom he was very happy. So all in all things are very much going to plan, including Native Princess, who is much improved on last season, and is very much pleasing everyone. She is only about a month off a run, and is going very well. we are very much hoping this beautifully bred filly can show her true form this season! She had beter be on her best behaviour tomorrow as one of her owners, Mary Burchell will be coming to see her, with her husband Ian. Mary and Ian also have a share in San Telm, so they will get to see them both go through their paces tomorrow!
