Stuart reports all the horses to be in great order - Benefit Cut worked solidly on Saturday and looks like he has booked himself a trip to Cheltenham on Wednesday. It will be a tough task as there are horses with 38 win or placed performances in Graded races entered in his heat, along with 2 listed winners and 2 Cheltenham Festival winners!! The track is an unknown, and hopefully they will slap enough water on as it can get a bit quick there at this time of year. Dawn Commander has had a couple of canters today - he was set a stiff task last week in Aintree, but that is where the handicapper has him, and we are forced to run in those races! - we will learn tomorrow if he has relented and dropped him a few pounds (I am sure he will), and we can then run him in a far more suitable grade if need be. The first of which could be a decent hurdle race in Warwick on the 23rd. Bold Conquest has come out of his race well, and will be aimed at a couple of races in very early May. He certainly would appreciate a return to three miles in handicap company, and a more galloping track - there are a couple of options. Native Princess is in rude health, and has resumed slow cantering. She is progressing very well, and we are all looking forward to getting her out on course again in a few weeks time! Smart Exit, Cloonacool and San Telm are all on their holidays. ST is still confined to barracks for a day or two but it will not be long before he gets some sun on his back like the rest of them. Maypole Lass dodged a trip to Wolverhampton on Saturday night, and will have entries over hurdles in the next couple of weeks. She did have a go through the stalls last week, which she seemed to thoroughly enjoy! There should be more excitement this week with a new arrival at Fences Farm - nothing confirmed yet, but we are 98% there, and we look forward to introducing you to the latest equine addition to the team. The intention is to syndicate this horse - with a small and select group of just 5 with equal 20% interests.
