Saturday 6 June
A sunny morning at Fences Farm, and good to see Bob, Chris John and Charlotte, who all came to see their horses. All four have shares in Dawn Commander, and he strode on well with Maypole Lass after breakfast. DC looks in fine form, and judging by his demeanour he is in rude health and ready to run. Maypole Lass moved well and will run later this month. After we cam off of the hill be nipped down to the jumps field to see Tuesdays bumper winner Native Princess have a little pop. She had a jump over a small hurdle a couple of times - before schooling up the three flights of hurdles twice. She was immaculate, and made a great shape over the obstacles - she really looked a natural, and most importantly loved it! From a proper National Hunt family she should excel when she sees a hurdle next month. We are delighted to be showing her off to a possible new owner tomorrow - have a look on the For Sale page for all her details - and please be aware that you are not tied into keeping her as a broodmare when her racing days are over. Her careers are separate, and although she will go on to be a fantastic broodmare I appreciate that breeding may not be everyones cup of tea so we will have a meeting when the time arrives, and decide the future at that point.
