Smart Exit it booked in to have his soft palate sorted out again today. He has had it done before, a few years back, and we know that he could do with it tightening up again, and now seems like a good time to do it. Unfortunate not to run again after his brave effort in Huntingdon last November, SE has had a good long rest and has come in from the field looking well. He is sure to win his races again this season. Maypole Lass showed herself to be back to somewhere near her best yesterday, with a decent run into third in Southwell. Blinkers on for the first time helped her travel, and not being in season this time helped hugely as well. She has come out of her race well. A drop of welcome rain today, but Saturday morning was a beauty, and all the horses looked great back in their stables! Non more so than Cloonacool, who looks a million dollars. Bold Conquest, Christmas Twenty and San Telm also look fab, and have done well on their summer holidays. It was good to see the Native Princess winning form get a boost yesterday, when 3 mares who she defeated in her last run in Southwell, ran back there in a similar race yesterday. The mare that was second to her was second again, behind a winner that had already been placed against the boys in a Startford bumper!! (The winner of the Stratford race won again yesterday in Perth). So the form has a really solid look to it. NP has had a brief break since her run, but looked in fantastic order when she trotted past me on Saturday morning under Annie! There is still that share available in her - so go and have a look on the For Sake page, and get in touch. Dawn Commander hasn't missed a beat since his run in Market Rasen. He had his light therapy last Friday, and Diane was delighted with him - saying he was 'a million percent better than he has been recently'! He is still on course for a run in Worcester later this month. He could well travel to Cartmel in August, and Maypole Lass could be joining him on the trip!
