Sunday 26 July
Good to see Alan, Bob and Chris up at Fences Farm yesterday morning. All three have shares in a number of horses, and they got to see them all do 2 canters (apart from Bobs Smart Exit who is just walking and trotting after having his wind done). Bold Conquest, Clonacool, Native Princess and Christmas Twenty are all in great form. All four took a good hold of the bridle in their canters, and are all coming along really well. Native Princess looks to have taken another step forward from her win, and subsequent short break. Maypole Lass and Dawn Commander both worked really well together. We spied an opportunity in a mares maiden hurdle for ML yesterday, so Stuart popped her in. Although over just 2m 4f, which is possibly a touch on the short side, it looks like a nice little race to go for, and she may well make the trip to Bangor On Dee on Friday. Dawn Commander is also in rude health, and with Worcester missing the bulk of Fridays rain and remaining Good to Firm it looks as though he will get to go there on Tuesday evening, hopefully they will not get too much today! We have a few owners coming to see their horses over the course of the next week, and we look forward to seeing them all.
