Monday 24 August
Another warm and sunny morning on the gallops on Saturday. Great to see Claire and Jess and Roy up on top of the hill. Before breakfast, Christmas Twenty did a single canter with Wolf Of Windlesham. After breakfast, Cloonacool worked alongside Reyno. Native Princess caught the eye in behind, travelling very well alongside an equally eyecatching Kayla. Third lot San Telm did 2 canters he is in great form, and really looking to get on with life - Smart Exit was far more sensible when we saw him outin the fourth lot. Today Stuart had his first runner on the flat, and Wolf Of Windlesham ran a sound debut for the yard, finishing third in a tight Kempton all weather handicap. He will be winning races on the flat and over hurdles this winter! Tomorrow, Native Princess is declared to run in Fontwell. It will be her hurdling debut, after winning a bumper on her last appearance in June. She seems to be a natural jumper, and schooled well this morning. Hopefully she will handle the softened ground, and her jumping will stand her in good stead. Paddy Brennan has said all week that he would go where ever she was running - so he obviously likes her!! Fingers crossed for a good run from this fast improving mare!
