Sneaking Budge is a silly boy! Juvenile in every sense of the word - He is a character, and can be a bit of a boyo in his stable. Yesterday morning he decided to act the goat and managed to damage his hock. He was fine first thing, but was found to be lame when he was pulled out to go to work. Stuart took him to the vets yesterday afternoon, and his now swollen and sore hock was x rayed and scanned. Both scans and x rays found no severe problems, and he returned to his stable in a big bandage. The vet will look at him again in a week. Stuart reports him to be bucking and kicking around his stable again this morning - so hopefully there is no major damage - although it will of course rule him out of Sandown on the 6th. Also making a trip to the vets yesterday was Bold Conquest, who need his sacroiliac joint injected - just a routine procedure, that he has done around every six months. He will have a couple of days off, and be ridden again on Monday. Smart Exit would not have gone to Chepstow today anyway - it is abandoned - he has an entry in Warwick next Thursday as does San Telm and Savingforvegas. All are in fine form! Native Princess is still on course for her date at the Doncaster Sales next month. She will be offered with a reserve and if she fails to make that, we will look at either a return to training for her later this year, or revisiting a broodmare syndicate for her. Please get in touch of you would like to be involved in breeding from a top class family - at a fraction of the cost - a breeding syndicate will share the costs - and could even provide a really nice annual income!! info@nickbrownracing.co.uk for more info - This will only apply if she fails to meet her reserve at the sales!
