Tuesday 12 April
After discussing options with his owners yesterday, Smart Exit has been retired from racing. He has obviously fallen out of love with the job, and will not be asked to compete again. The winner of 3 of his 26 races, he started the season really well, but has disappointed on his last 4 starts, and seems to have lost his mojo for racing. It is the unanimous decision of his owners for him to be gifted to his dedicated Lass, Alice, who will take him on and give him a home for life. He will do a bit of eventing, and we wish Exit a wonderful retirement, and Alice the very best of luck with him over very many years to come! As ever, life goes on - and we are always looking to ad to the squad. Unfortunately a mare that was looked at for us yesterday proved not to be for us - but the search will continue as new boy Pull Together is very close to being sold out. Stuart rode him himself this morning for the first time, and said he was very nice! Praise indeed!! San Telm is still on course for Cheltenham on Thursday, He looks like he could have a low weight, and Josh looks like he is going to do the weight! Good luck to Olney Bloodstock clients Ben Turner and Jay Tabb who's Mister Miyagi runs in the 2m 4f novice hurdle in Cheltenham tomorrow.
