Monday 2 January
Cloonacool has been entered in a 2m handicap hurdle in Sandown on Saturday. He has come out of his Kempton run in fine form, and you really wouldn't know he had a race, so we thought we would pop him in and have a look at what the race looked like. If he runs on Saturday he could well sport some form of headgear - in an attempt to encourage his finishing effort slightly. Cloonacool schooled this morning in some cheekpieces, and he faced them fine, and Stuart may try him in some other form of headgear later on this week, just to see what stimulates the best response. As I said last week - no stone will be left unturned in attempts to get him back into the winners circle. The yard have one runner tomorrow - Vinegar Hill makes his chasing debut in Bangor On Dee - Brendan Powell rides.
