Tuesday 17 January
Land League makes his UK/hurdling debut tomorrow in Market Rasens opening Novices hurdle. This fine, scopey good looking horse was very sick when he arrived from Ireland, where just 10 days before he has won an Irish Point To Point. It took an age to get him well again, and we have had to be very patient, but since Stuart and the team have been able to step his work up he has done nothing but please us. He has put on plenty of weight, and now has a fantastic gleam to his coat, which was very dull when he arrived. He has schooled very well, and has been doing some lovely pieces of work. Tomorrow he faces some stiff opposition, but he is ready to run, and it will be good to get going with him. A good clear round, and home safe and sound will be the order of the day, as I can see this boy giving us a really fun summer! There are still shares available - and the cost of them will be going up if he wins or is placed tomorrow - so get in touch quickly! nickbrownracing@gmail.com Chandos Belle will be entered in Wetherby next Tuesday - a maiden juvenile hurdle. She will also have entries on Wednesday and Thursday.
