Sunday 14 January
A good morning at Fences Farm yesterday, Liam in to see his mare Queenohearts do a routine canter. QOH is having an easy time of it as her next race is not until March when she will contest the Sandown Listed Mares Bumper that Molly Childers ran so well in last year. QOH form looks rock solid, and she is a very smart prospect. Second Lot we saw Pull Together work with Now Mcginty, and Vinegar Hill go with Pine Warbler. All 4 looked in great form. Third lot Sneaking Budge worked with Chandos Belle, with the eyecatching Camaro in behind. Camaro was literally cruising as the three came past us, and I said to Liam that Jo would be very pleased with him, it was not until they got back to us that we realised Jo was more than pleased, she was over the moon, as Camaro had given the 2 in front of her 10 lengths at the bottom, and could have cruised past them before the end of their work. Jo was very excited by Camaro, saying that it is a long time since she has got a feel like that off of one, and even Harriet had to agree that we may have finally found one that can work with Maria's Benefit!! Camaro looks like a really smart addition to the squad, and is still FOR SALE. He has form in the book, and although still only 85% fit, works like a proper horse - so he is not one to be missed! He certainly worked like a very decent horse yesterday! Also out third lot were Maria's Benefit, Kaloci and Classic Ben who all did a 3/4 piece of work - although Maria was hell bent on going a bit quicker!! Kaloci looked in fine form under Megan, and Classic Ben went nicely with George. Cloonacool is in great form and had one canter, Apasionad did his 3 canters first lot, and is looking goodd and big. Molly Childers was out first lot too. All in all a very exciting morning - great to see such promising horses go about their work, and it really looks as though we have another one in Camaro to go with them!
