A wet Saturday work morning, bit good to see Ollie and John in to see their horses. Both have shares in Apasionado, and they got to see him stride on this morning alongside Molly Childers, he is looking great, and his return continues to progress very well. John also has a share in dual hurdle winner Classic Ben, and we saw him to a very eye-catching piece of work this morning, drawing right away from an equally matched work mate. He seems to have improved since his last run, and will have an entry in the Grade 2 River Don Novices Hurdle in Doncaster next Saturday. Sneaking Budge worked well along side Kaloci, and both are very much on course for Leicester on Tuesday, along with Pull Together who was very impressive in his work this morning. PT is a really nice prospect, and has a bright future. Chandos Belle didn't do too much as she is match fit, and may run on Monday, although we are waiting to see how the race shapes up before committing her to it. We have tried her in a big field handicap around the tight turns of Fakenham before, and she was well beaten, and we are very wary of a repeat. It would be a great shame to run there, and be beaten, and stand in the second or third spot and say we shouldn't have come back! Added to this is the fact that she could well carry north of 12 6 judging by the way the possible declarations are looking - and we could never ask her to carry that weight! There is also an alternative race that will be very much within her compass. There is a mares only 0-100 handicap a week tomorrow (28th), that in normal years would be very winnable for a mare of her quality - this all sounds good, the down side, is that it is in Sedgefield. We feel that this is actually the right race for her - but will see if the Fakenham race cuts up. Cloonacool is in good form, although he isn't being asked to do too much yet. Camaro has been sold, and we wish his new owners the very best of luck with him - he should be ready to make his debut in a couple of weeks. Maria's Benefit worked woith Theclockisticking this morning, and both looked in great form. MB heads to the Grade 2 mares race in Doncaster next Saturday, and TCIT heads to Huntingdon next month. Queenohearts cantered, and is still on course for the Listed Mares bumper in Sandown in March - a race that id shaping up to be a very strong renewal - but we wouldn't swap her! The second half of the season is shaping up really well - with plans in place in some of the top races for plenty of the yards horses - all we need - for the Trainers sanity, if nothing else, is for them all to get there in one piece!!
